[Scan-DC] Request for Proposals for the statewide 700 MHz system

I wonder how this will differ from the proposed 800 MHz state wide system.
IIRC, we have a list member who works for the company that will be building out the 800 MHz system.
Perhaps he can chime in.

Subject: [Scan-DC] Request for Proposals for the statewide 700 MHz system


Governor Martin O’Malley will be holding a press conference to make an
announcement regarding the Communications Interoperability Program on
July 10, 2008 at 11:00 am to be held at the State Highway
Administration Dayton Shop [located on the north side of Md. Rte. 32 a
few miles west of I 95....4401 Md Rte. 32, Dayton, Md.  21036].
Governor O’Malley will be signing the Executive Order, announcing the
PSIC Grant awards and the issuance of the Request for Proposals for
the statewide 700MHz system.

The SIEC meeting will be held immediately following the press
conference in the Dayton Shop conference room.
