Does anyone know what frequency the Norfolk Southern Railroad uses on the line that runs down toward Lynchburg, sortof following US Route 29? My buddy just called, is on the way down that way now and is not hearing anything on the frequency that he usually monitors - I believe he said 161.55 - and there is usually a fair amount of radio traffic.

A Google search of "Norfolk Southern radio frequencies" turns up this information:

Former Southern Railway territory

160.245 Ch. 1 Dispatcher-to-Train
160.830 Ch. 2 Train-to-Dispatcher
160.950 Ch. 5 Road
161.490 Ch. 9 Yard

but I have no idea how current that is.

This is the one place where RadioReference.com falls down by listing everything geographically... other than that it's a wonderful tool.

Thanks,

Doug
