Thanks John! I'll look into it.
I finally got it to change the control channel to 860.4375 (not sure how),
and now it's working. I think what I did was hit the "trunk" button a
couple of times (on/off) and that seemed to reset the control channel.
Geeess what a pain, lol. Hope I don't have to do that every time they
change the control channel.

I do recommend BUTEL's software. I bed you will find someone that has the
file for Arlington.
What you would do is program the control channel and in a setting you need
to select Control Channel Only.
Best Wishes
JOHN

I'm wondering if the control channel might be the problem. It's showing
859.4375 as the control channel. I programmed it using the software that
came with the scanner w/ all the freqs below. I have no idea how to change
the control channel manually. Thought that was an "automatic thing."

Hi Chris,
I'm just getting my feet wet in digital, so someone else who knows more will
have to chime in with suggestions.
For what it's worth, I programmed my 396T (by hand!) just by starting a new
P25 system, entering the Arlington freqs that were circulated by Euan Fisk
on 5/22, and putting it in TGID search mode. Worked fine the first time, and
is still working now.
Also for what it's worth, a few weeks ago, I auto-programmed the 396T for
Arlington's digital system using RadioReference's auto-download through
bcTool. I heard nothing at all for days, so obviously something wasn't right
(others reported hearing traffic during that same period).
You may want to make sure you have all of these freqs from Euan:
"I'm noticing the system using frequencies:
860.9375
866.7125
860.9375
860.7625
858.9375
858.7625
857.9375
857.7625
856.9375
so far, with the control channel of 860.4375."
Good luck,
Andy
