[Scan-DC] DC'S HIGH POINT!

I'll be dogged, I didn't know that.  As many of you know, there was a whole ring of forts around DC during the Civil War - I've driven by (the sites of) many of them... some are completely gone, with not much of anything left, and some are still in pretty good shape, their conditions run the whole range.  Fort Reno and Fort Stevens (I think the next one over from Reno, near 13th and Piney Branch Road NW) are two of the better ones.  As I mentioned earlier, tho, I never realized it was that high.
