In Alexandria, it is typical for a response to include equipment from two
or three stations. A fire in North Ridge or Del Ray will see equipment
from stations 2 (Del Ray) and 3 (North Ridge). I have been amazed on many
occasions to see how many responders there are to the most
innocous-sounding incident. Alexandria would rather have too many than
not enough. I do understand that to say something is innocous-sounding
(to me) is not to say it is innocous.
