[Scan-DC] Apartment Fire - Mt. Pleasant DC

Yes, 1973. It was the first big fire I covered when I was a new radio
reporter in DC working for WASH. I remember a little guy with a helmet that
said "Fire Photographer," who took me and introduced me to the mayor, who
was there. The little guy was Larry Krebs, who was working for WMAL Radio
and TV at night. I don't remember that blaze as being as big as last
night's, however.

35 years ago would be, what, 1973? Gawd, I'm old. Might be worth scanning
the Washington Pest archives... can be done thru the Montgomery County
Library system if you have a card... if I have a chance over the weekend,
will take a look.
