FYI. There might be some interesting radio activity involved, or then again
maybe not. I wonder if they will try using their new digital system as part
of the training?

Cheers,
Andy

Subject: #3660 Public Safety Exercise/ Traffic Disruption Notification
from Arlington County

On Monday, February 18, 2008, the Arlington County Police Department
will conduct a training exercise in the 800 block of N. Randolph Street
in Ballston. The Arlington County Fire Department is also expected to
participate. The purpose of the exercise is to test the response of
Arlington County's public safety agencies in a simulated emergency
situation inside an office building.

The exercise is expected to begin at approximately 8 a.m. and conclude
before 4 p.m. During that time, one block of Randolph Street, between
Wilson Blvd. and 9th Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Residents are advised there will be a large number of police cars and
other public safety vehicles in the area. However, the vehicles will
not use their lights or sirens during the exercise.
