  Nice to see DC is keeping up with technology.

However one has to wonder how long the new police chief will be 
around since the crime rate is reaching new highs in the city (wash 
post metro 7-07-07).

But maybe those fancy "smart patrol" cars with the new lights & 
gadgets will do the trick. It won't be to long 'til the patrol car 
cop will not have to get out of his/her car from the time they get in 
'til the time to go home.

  Now that's progress.
