I dont know how many detachments there are, but Bolling AFB has not been an active airfield for decades.  Back in the early 80's we used to keep our sailboat there (Dad is a ret. USAF Capt).  It is mostly an administrative base with lots of housing for  folks assigned to MDW (Military District Washington).  There is of course a nice PX, and lots of other neat residential stuff like hobby shops, ball fields, community center and the really nice marina. 

Defense Intelligence Agency is located there, but I am not certain if it technically on Bolling property or the adjacent Anacostia Naval Air Station property - where some of the Presidential Helo's are kept on station.
