You sure it was a USCG. And not just a Med Chopper in transport.

But the Dauphin is a nice chopper. I love the sound of them.

Where are they stationed? I mean, they're kept at the airport, but is

Several CGASes are listed. Would the one/ones at DCA be technically
assigned to one of them for its/their maintenance?

I went to the Solar Decathlon on Thursday, and as I was returning to
Alexandria that afternoon, an HH-65 flew directly over my head just as I
was approaching the Jefferson Memorial, right there where the railroad
tracks and the highway come together.
