Media Advisory

First District Open House

When: Saturday, September 29, 2007
  12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.

Where: First District Station
  1451 Seven Locks Rd.
  Rockville, MD 20854


 The 1st District Station opens its doors for tours, demonstrations,
and activities for the whole family.  There will be demonstrations by
Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) members, a Maryland National
Capital Park Police horse-mounted officer, K-9 officers with canine
partners, and motorcycle officers.  A Maryland State Police helicopter
and the MCP Command Bus will be available for viewing.  MC Fire/Rescue
personnel will also attend.  Activities include an appearance by Apple
Dumpling the Clown, a merry-go-round, and a moon bounce.  Child
fingerprinting will be available.

 Everyone is welcome to attend, but residents served by the 1st
District are particularly encouraged to attend to meet the men and
women of the 1st District dedicating themselves to keeping the greater
Rockville communities safe.
