I heard a FREEDOM 08 yesterday on one of the ZDC VHF freqs. No idea who they might be,

This was DRAGO 51 and 52 (either B-1 or B-2 type bombers. They also used the bomber interplane freq 388.85 the entire time in the area to chat before and after the flyby at Arlington National Cemetery. DRAGO 51 did the flyby on the usual ADW Radar freq 279.575 while DRAGO 52 loitered nearby. They were in the area for about 90 minutes from about 0920 until 1050. Hard time at Arlington was 1033:30 for the flyby.

......Trend 44 (unid)- w/ZOB (363.075) advising ZOB that when Cats Eye 94 (sounds like) gets up to their flight level they will join up with him on
......cross-country fflight.

TREND 44 was a flight of three F/A-18 Hornets from VMFA-121 NAS Miramar. They arrived at Andrews yesterday after making the trip back from the desert. They were accompanied across the Atlantic by BLUE 94 (KC-10A, 83-0082, 305th AMW McGuire) who also camped overnight at Andrews. When they left for home today, the tanker went with them but changed his callsign to CACTI 94. (The first time I ever heard that callsign used, I also thought I heard CATS EYE.)
