[Scan-DC] Bush, Marine One, White House Quantico

Thanks for the heads-up! I pulled out my 246T in the office, and started
scanning the National Airport freqs (I don't have any military freqs
programmed in yet). The first alert came at about 10:55, when a commercial
pilot came on and complained that he was waved off his approach and demanded
to know how long the diversion would be. I looked out my office window, and
saw a plane nearly overhead (the Ballston area of Arlington )cutting off its
approach to the diagonal runway at National, and turning back to the
southwest. That was probably the guy I heard. Then, looking toward the
Potomac, I saw two non-Marine-One like helicopters flying in formation
heading south, followed by two Marine-One-looking helicopters, followed by
one more non-Marine-One helicopter.

CBS News (on the radio, what else?) reported at 10:00 a.m. EDT that
"within the hour" Bush would be taking a helicopter from the White House
to Quantico.

Keep your ears on for Marine One, good buddy.
