Mike,

Thanks very much. Although I have the base and offsets from the RR site, I was not aware that I had to have the latest firmware update to make this work. That is very useful to know, as I have not done the upgrade yet. And this link to the VA forum on RR is very useful. I of course was looking under the 996T and 396T forums, searching for general info on VHF P25 programming. I was not thinking about the regional forums.

Thanks again, this information will get me headed in the right direction. This Scan-DC group is very helpful!

Andy

Does anyone happen to have the Virginia STARS systems as a UASD file for
the 996T or 396T? This would be my first attempt at a multi-site digital
non-800 system, so seeing how it is programmed would help (proper use of base
and offsets, and sites). Trying to ascertain this from the 996T manual is
challenging, to say the least.

Before posting here I checked the 396 and 996 Yahoo groups. I also
didn't immediately see any files on RR, or through a Google search. It's not
the frequencies I need, but how to enter the frequency table and sites
correctly.

Andy the folks tracking STARS talkgroups in the RR forum are likely to be where you want to be (Dave S.,
are you reading here?). Here's the URL - and I'm sure I saw at least 1 person post the 3 base/offsets
you will need. As I understand it, you must make sure you have the latest firmware for this to work right.
