Here's the tally so far of the equipment responding:
Engine 201, 202, 203, and 298
Tower 203 and 292
Truck 204
Extraction Engine 204
FM (I think) 215
Battalion Chief 211
Arlington Truck 105
SUV number 5703
A Chevrolet sedan, number 5904
Hazmat Support Unit 5203
Medic 202 and 205
MWAA Rescue Engine 335 drove past but did not stop
two Crown Victorias, one red and one unmarked
vehicle 5007
EMS Supervisor 5051
and finally, a C17 flew over from Andrews, but I think that was not
related to this event
The Arlington equipment: would that have been responding from the station
in Fairlington, or the one near Pentagon City? Neither is particularly
close, but the Fairlington one is closer.
Alexandria Engine 203 has a FDNY logo on its side. I do not know how many
other vehicles have one.
The event has that "food on the stove" look to it, and the presence of
the Hazmat team makes me think that the gas line is involved. I still
smell no smoke and see no flames, but an onlooker said he picked up a
smoky smell.
