[Scan-DC] Scanning Ocean City question, STAR 1

Good evening, Scan-DC'rs,

I’m working on refining the Ocean City MD programming in my BC-796 and have
the following questions about some discrepancies I’ve run into… any help or
thoughts would be appreciated.

1. On radioreference.com, I see two "miscellaneous" talkgroups with the
description STAR1 and STAR2 - anyon have any idea what that might stand
for? (I think I have a clue, but would like to hear what the group here has
to say first!)

2. RadioReference.com tells me that this system type is an “EDACS Networked
Standard”. OK, but the selections in the Butel ARC-250 software for the
Uniden BC-796 are EDACS Wide, EDACS Narrow, EDACS SCT, and LT. Which one of
those matches up with EDACS Standard? (I think it’s EDACS Wide, but not
sure now how I figured that out!) Although RadioReference.com has its own
forum, and Yahoo has a forum for the Butel ARC-250 programming software for
the BC-796, I thought it would be easier to try posting here first.

3. I've noticed several discrepancies between the talkgroup or channel plan
for the fire radios, and the talkgroup descriptions in the tables... will
detail those later in a separate message, but several of the channel numbers
don't match up. Any ideas? Again, more on that later in a separate
message.

Thanks!

Regards to all,

Doug in Gaithersburg
