A little off topic but need some advice.
 
After about 6 years of valiant service my Sangean ATS 909 portable HF  
receiver bit the dust the other day.
 
I want to replace it and I noticed that the Eton E5 looks to be about the  
same quality & capability for about $100 less.
 
Does anyone have any experience with the E5 as far as UTE (USB/LSB)  
monitoring is concerned.  It would be nice if anyone had any side by side  comparisons 
between the E5 and the Sangean. I plan to use the new portable  (Sangean or 
E5) for search and voice collection.  I'm using an R 75 for  digital collection 
(ALE/RTTY/CW, etc)
