I talked with Paul at Uniden today.  They are on schedule to deliver at the
end
of February a control head that will remote all of the scanner functions to
a unit that looks
like a BCD996T front but is about 1" deep.  It can control via RS232 the
functions of the newer
Uniden Scanners including the following units:

BCD996T
BCT15
BCD396T
BR330T
The price is around $200.  I plan to place an order in a few weeks so if
anyone is interested please
let me know at mtcomm at erols.com .  I also have in stock the 996 and 396.  I
include local programming
and user guide with the units I sell.
