Wow.  I was working for an insurance company and had been in the office in 
Alexandria that day, but had a company car at the time... we were instructed 
to get the company cars off the street (ie home) because of the storm 
(standard policy, my boss was the fleet manager).  Went right by the site of 
the crash about an hour and a half before it happened, maybe less.

Found out later that I guy I had once worked with had been killed; later met 
a survivor at a party.
