[Scan-DC] What in the world was that, that just flew over?

WTOP reported that there was some kind of test or drill out of Andrews
today, and that if listeners saw fighters in the air there was no reason to
be concerned.

Commerical-style four-engine jet transport aircraft with two fighters at
each wingtip, trailed by two more fighters, headed due west at low
altitude. Sighted at 10:48 a.m. from outside my listening bunker in
Alexandria, eight miles west of KADW, Andrews AFB. Didn't have the
scanner on, of course.

The four-engine transport seemed too small to be a 747 (I didn't have my
glasses on either); maybe it was an Airbus. Could be wrong. If it was a
747, I've never seen AF1 accompanied by such an array of other aircraft.

Something out of the ordinary.
