   Well, I have broken yet another scanner (the pin for the power plug).
Looks like all the scanners now-a-days have the pin receptacle apparatus.. I
guess i'm just too hard on them!  I thought I would have my PRO-91 for
awhile, but it has fallen victim to loose pin disease... I think it's all
those times i've pulled it off my desk.. argh.

I am trying to convince myself I need a $500 scanner (BCD396T or the PRO96).
For the record, I'm leaning towards the BCD396T, even though the PRO96 is
enticing for the current sale price.  I do miss listening to the value-added
channels of MoCo fire, and really miss listening to the MoCo police.   I
guess I'm a bit intimidated with digital scanning with all the channels and
talkgroups, since traditionally scanning to me has been solely channels.  I
have been scanning for 20 years, but I can't really convince myself that I
really need to spend $500 on a scanner right now.  I have been waiting for
the PRO96 to go on sale...but then I stumbled upon the BCD396T, for which I
like the 'bonus' features.

I wanted to know if anyone has ordered off of http://www.usascan.com? the
website looks a bit fishy to me, even though it was linked to from the
Uniden website.  Their policies don't look very clear to me and it seems one
has to read very carefully not to get caught up in an unwanted situation.
They charge $30 for delivery and depending on the package you choose, you
may not be able to return the scanner.

Are there any other retailers of the BCD396T?  I could not seem to locate
any from Uniden's website. I do not believe that Radio Shack sells the
BCD396T?
