LANDOVER, Md. -- A tanker truck overturned Tuesday afternoon near
FedEx Field, spilling gallons of milk onto the roadway.

The crash happened at about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Landover
Road and Brightseat Road in Prince George's County.

Officials said the truck tried to turn left onto Brightseat Road when
it overturned, spilling its load of 4,800 gallons of unpasteurized
milk.

Fire spokesman Mark Brady said the milk spilled onto the roadway and
into storm drains. Brady said officials from the Maryland Department
of the Environment were on scene monitoring the cleanup.

The driver of the truck suffered unspecified injuries and was
transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Crews were working to try to get the tanker upright.
