All,
Not so sure about the MdANG providing air cover - they fly A-10's (and
C-130J's) - a ground attack aircraft - and it's not the fastest aircraft in
the military's inventory. It might be able to chase down an errant 152/172,
but certainly could not intercept a business jet/commercial airliner/

Subject: [Scan-DC] The Prez is coming
I understand that the Prez will be in Baltimore on Wed - there's already an
announcement about a flight restriction here (look at the ZDC facility...)
http://tfr.faa.gov/tfr2/list.html
It's almost a given that there will, in all likelihood, be a short term Air
Patrol to cover - Probably the DC ANG, but the Md. ANG is also a
possibility. I'd also keep the Potomac Considated Terminal Radar Approach
Control (TRACON) UHF freqs for BWI handy, and I wouldn't ignore the 360.7
SWANN ARTCC freq, either.
We've got these freqs, and more covered in the Delmarva Milcom Monitoring
Wiki on RadioReference. The fastest way to access it is through the CHM
webpage at:
http://henney.com/chm/links/mddatah.htm#CONVENT
Scroll past the links into you get into the airports section.
Fellow hams, you might also be in luck - many 2m/440 dual band transceivers
cover the necessary freqs (well, maybe not the FM VHF Lo stuff...). 73s and
good hunting Mike
