If you go to http://local.live.com and put in your address, if you're in the
metro DC area  there probably are 4 pictures of your house (one from each
direction) taken from a light plane at just a couple of thousand feet.

I always wonder if perhaps some of this kind of activity is aerial 
photography ala google earth, or one of those websites...
