If you are referring to it being displayed on you scanner it would be
another ID being used on the same control channel.
I added a discrim tap to my 796D to track all the activity on a control
channel. In 1 night alone in 1 zone for Massachusetts SP
I got 73 Talk Groups, 1274 Radios and 9 TG Patches.

Subject: [Scan-DC] "Activity ID" on Trunked Systems
What does "Activity ID" mean in reference to trunked radio systems?
Anyone? :)
Have searched the internet and don't readily see anything, even on
radioreference.
I've had a BC-796D digital trunking scanner for over a year now and am still
trying to understand some of the terms. Thanks.
Doug
