Here's what I found from the airshow earlier today. Larry and others,
feel free to pass this along to other lists, etc.
Andrews trunked system was analog, just as we thought. Here are some
selected talkgroups used specifically for the show:
80 Public Affairs
3280 Unknown, maybe Security
3888 Security
4848 Medical Control
(Numerous other talkgroups active, some of which could have been used
only for the show.)
Also, many of the people driving golf carts and doing escorts were
using one of the new 380 MHz P25 trunked systems. This is the one
with System ID of 17A, control channel of 385.2125. Talkgroup 23 was
used for the escorts. There were a few other talkgroups active, but
not much traffic noted on them. This system was very strong at
Andrews, so probably originates from there. Maybe this will replace
the 406 MHz analog system.
123.4250 monitored for the Lima Lima team. 122.8250 was monitored for
another civilian performer (unknown which one). 125.3500 may also
have been used for a performer.
As for the Blue Angels, here's what I monitored:
139.8125 [ CSQ] Ground Ops
142.6125 [ CSQ] Ground Ops
237.8000
284.2500
305.5000
346.5000
As you can probably tell, I didn't do much searching in the Mil Air
band, but these previously-noted freqs were in use. I primarily
concentrated on the land mobile side of things.
Anyway, hopefully this info will be helpful to people attending tomorrow.
Dave
