Hello David and all,
Andrews is in line to get one of the new 380-400 MHz DoD LMR systems. I
doubt they will go digital on their existing 406-420 MHz system (oh yea I am
speaking about the government that does waste money so maybe...). ;-)))
I would highly suggest that any going to the show take a swing or two
through the 380-391 MHz range and see what they can hear on the base. I will
be happy to cross any report in my db to see if it is new or existing.
And as always we do appreciate any and all airshow reports for our annual
airshow report in MT and on the web. Even if we already have the freq in pur
report, please report what you hear anyway. We use that the validate and
verify what is currently active.
Anyone needing info for this weekend feel free to stop by the MT website
and download all our airshow info from the March issue of MT's Milcom
column. It is free and you should have all the airshow demo groups freqs for
the show.
Good luck, good weather, good hunting and 73,
Chief

I'm wondering what the status of the Andrews trunked system is.
RadioReference says it's analog, but also hints that it may be
transitioning to digital. I'll be able to monitor it either way, but
was just curious to know in advance of this weekend's airshow. Thanks
in advance.
Dave
