A super resource besides SCAN-DC (which gives you the local scene) of like 
minded milcom nuts can be found on the "Milcom" mailing list at www.qth.net. 
We have well over 2,000 folks across the US and from around the world that 
share real time info and freq/callsign information on nothing but military 
communications (HF/VHF/UHF). You will find a lot of friendly very 
knowledgeable folks on the Milcom list.
