I sent my reply off-list. However, my "little slang term" produced ***over
a dozen relevant*** pages of results when I Goggled "Convert-a-com".

Sorry to be so ignorant, but I have never heard of your little slang term as
I never used ANY of the equipment you are referring too.

I think I am considered an old timer my friend. I started this hobby in 1963
with my old Pro tunable PS radios listening to my Dad work who was a
patrolman with the San Antonio PD. But I am not into any of the PS equipment
you are referring to Dewey. Sorry to bother you with the question and
showing my ignorance. I won't do it again.
