[Scan-DC] Interesting Scanner, I need advise

Hi Gang,  I hope this post does not cause any trouble. There is a scanner
on ebay that I have interest in and wonder if anyone can help talk me out
of it. It is a Standard CCR 708A scanner with a spectrum display. It is the
spectrum display that interests me. Has anybody used one of these? How is
the receiver front end? I plan to install a log periodic on my tower and 
could
use something that would not overload too badly.

 If anybody has knowledge of this radio I would greatly appreciate your
opinion, good or bad. It is item # 9705281949
