This morning there was an incident on 355 in Gaitherburg and a bright
red
helicopter hovered over the area for a good while. It was fairly small,
had white lettering on the narrow tail and had a housing under the main
rotor that looked like the conning tower of a submarine or a truncated
shark fin (my daughter's description). Something like on a J2
gyrocopter. Any idea whose helicopter this might be--news station,
medivac etc.?

That description sounds like a Robinson R22 or R44. Definately
not a medivac :)

Not sure of the time of your incident but I heard an Express Air 1
helicopter going to Holy Cross Hospital around 1100 this morning. If
this was not the right time, does anyone know who Express Air is?
