I wrote up an answer to this, unfortunately I hit the send key too fast, and only responded to Dave....grrr.

Generally true, however normally around here, commercial traffic gets echoed onto a UHF milair frequency. Come to think about it, I've never heard GiantKiller relay commercial traffic on one of their freqs. At times, the ARTCC does it tho - the SWANN freqs of 134.5 and 360.7 are prime examples. The TRACON will also do a VHF patch from time to time due to loading during the rush hours. However, with indoor antennas, hearing both ground and the air units is iffy at best, so that's not a true test for me.
An additional note - the folks on the RR Maryland forum has noted several changes in the ARTCC layout. The recent move of the Kenton site to the old DC ANG freq of 127.275 was confirmed both by an insider to ARINC and the latest IFR. (By the way, it's thought that the new freq for the ANG is 143.6, which I've also logged). A couple of new UHF freqs have been noted, and we can expect some VHF shifting to occur as well. It's certainly true that more listening on 118.125 is required to verify the move, but I didn't want anyone to sit on that freq when it would appear there's commercial traffic - not CAP traffic - there. Tomorrow may well tell a different story. 73s Mike

Did you hear aircraft or only ground? In other parts of the US it is
not uncommon (particularly for ANG) to transmit ARTCC on their freq at
times.
