Folks we have an exercise centered over the Thurmont area this weekend scheduled until 1pm on Sunday - per the RadioReference Maryland forum, here's a quick summary of the freqs heard; just like in a fund commercial, past usage doesn't guarantee future performance, but it is a good place to start :.>>
362.3 BRAVE flights from Andrews entering CAP
288.35 GUARD DOG frequency - ARROW flights entering CAP giving altitude and direction headings
228.9 HUNTRESS (NORAD) A great deal of traffic from both the ARROW flights and TANKERs - very active
135.525 GUARD DOG frequency TANKERs getting altitude checks
369.15 - This was, in the past, used by Eglin AFB F15s as a chit chat freq and is evidently being used again. Very active
320.6 Refueling Boom freq
Any scanner that can handle UHF milair freqs and has an antenna up in the clear should be able to hear this. If you'd like to read about some of the scanners that CAN handle this, check out the RadioReference VHF/UHF Military Monitoring Wiki which is linked on the CHM intro page. Some more specific information on milcom in the Delmarva area can be found on the Delmarva Milcom Monitoring wiki, which can be found on each of the CHM regional web pages (one for Del, DC, Md and Va.).
