[Scan-DC] Minitor

 All:

   My 6 year old son loves listening to the "monitors" (much to my wifes
eternal regret, I let him listen to the scanners when he was a baby) and
I set him up with an old Motorola Minitor I in his room.

  Well, sad to say, I can't get the thing to work anymore.  The
batteries charge fine, but the unit won't receive at all.  It's on an
old charger/speaker system, etc.   Does anyone out there have any
manuals for this antique?   I don't even know what half the buttons do
on the thing.

  If anyone has a manual or users guide I could borrow, I'd be much
appreciative.  I don't really want to give my son a full blown scanner
just yet, even an old crystal one, since he still likes to play with the
buttons and look at the lights.

  I'd even buy another old minitor I or II for him if I could find one
tuned to Frederick County Md.
