Neither Anne Arundel nor Baltimore county are digital; AA does have a couple of digital talkgroups, but digital is at least a year away.

While you'll be ok with a non-digital scanner for PG PD & FD, you are
SURROUNDED by digital signals... Howard Co, Montgomery Co, DC, Fairfax Co,
Alexandria Co, Anne Arundel Co, Baltimore City & Co to start with.

I was reading the old reviews of the PRO 94 & 97 that told what they would
do
then, but what can't you do (hear) now and soon to be with these older by
inexpensive units?
The 94 did not receive digital signals I think it said. What in the PG
county
MD & Bowie area would you not be able to hear? Fire? Police?
