Hi Ron,
Any HamFest will have them at the vendor stands, and probably at the tailgate
area too.
You can either buy the ferrite cores only (two of these mate together to fully
enclose a cable, then use tape or tie-wrap to hold them together), or you can
buy the clip-on version which is a pair of the above cores, mounted into a
plastic frame with a clasp which clicks shut when the unit is wrapped around
the cable.
At Hamfests, the bare ferrites generally go for a Dollar a pair, and the
clip-ons go for $2 each (though there may be some variation because there are
several ferrite sizes!)
Next local Hamfest that I am aware of is Sept 10-11, 2005. In Gaithersburg,
MD, at the fairgrounds. See http://www.farfest.org for more details.
Radio Shack sells them too! Part number 273-105 is the snap-together version
at $5.29. Check the stock level at your local store online before making the
trip, as I doubt all stores carry them.
It is always a good idea to keep a couple of these handy! Note that some USB
cables radiate, and 100BaseTX Ethernet generally radiate too.
