I went for a bike ride after dinner. I climbed the hill above the Amtrak
station; this is the hill with the Masonic Temple on top. In the back
parking lot is a Maxim 100 ladder truck from the Lafayette, Indiana, Fire
Department. If the plaque on the front is any indication, the truck got
here by way of the Lincoln Highway.
One placard on the side has the URL
http://www.lincoln-highway-museum.org/ ,
and another placard give the cellphone number for the truck,
419-566-0790. Great combination: an antique ladder truck with its own
cellphone number. That exchange is in Galion, Ohio.
There's a pool of oil under the left front hub, so the truck may have a
leaking shock absorber.
I went to the website
http://www.lincoln-highway-museum.org/DC/DC-Index.html , where I read:

Some of you like this sort of stuff. You know who you are. I'd appreciate
it if you'd forward this message to the groups for fire equipment
enthusiasts.
Thanks.
