[Scan-DC] DC Scramble Exercise

All,

In the late 1100-early 1200 hours EDT Brave 61 & 62  (F-16s, 121st FS DC ANG) 
were working w/Huntress (139.15) in a DC CAP intercept exercise.  Huntress 
vectored the Braves to intercept a civilian aircraft which Brave 61 id'd as 
N26494. Brave 61 then broadcast to the civilian aircraft that he had entered a 
restricted area and that he had been intercepted by an F-16.

About one minute after that broadcast, Brave 61 advised Huntress that the 
civilian aircraft was not cooperating with the intercepting aircraft. Huntress 
then advised Brave 61 that Noble Eagle had declared that aircraft as a hostile.  
At this point, Brave 61 acknowledged that this was an exercise and then went 
into the authentication procedures and codes with Huntress. 

After about a total of 10-15 minutes of the exercise, Brave 61 advised 
Huntress that the and his wingman would be " burning off some gas" then RTB'ing to 
Andrews.
