[Scan-DC] RE: Charles County Sheriff's Dept

Yea, I agree it's a dream, but it also makes a great wish. DC PD (MPDC)
switched over their operations doing a different District each day at the
midnight shift. When the affected District would start ops on their
talkgroup, their conventional channel ceased at the exact moment. However,
I think this was a must since no new/different frequencies were used; IOW,
the same 13 freqs that were the conventional freqs are now the trunked
system freqs. Citywide 1 is still simulcast on the VHF frequency that it
has been simulcast on for decades.

Sorry, Al. You're dreaming. Montgomery County simulcast its police
channels for only a couple of months after it went trunked. The county
continues to simulcast two of its fire-rescue dispatch channels, but only
because 1) the tone-paging for volunteers is on VHF and 2) PG County is not
on the trunked system.
