OK here. I have been trying to figure this out properly for a while now.
I have 2 freqs I have been watching 283.75 & 283.875
On 283.75 I hear PACER calling PACER OPS. I also hear PACER aircraft calling
other PACER aircraft as well as PACER calling JOSA aircraft and Vice-Versa.
Also I hear PACER calling CARIBOU OPS.
So it seems both units at ADW use this as an OPS freq. Both the 89th AW as
well as the 457 AS. I understand all about this freq being well known as AMC
COMMON or INTERPLANE.
On 283.875, I mostly hear JOSA calling JOSA and JOSA calling JOSA OPS. But I
do think I have heard PACER calling JOSA OPS on the freq.
I usually tend to associate a freq with a given Unit when possible but these
2 freqs are a little confusing to someone like me who has never really paid
much attention to their comms.
Got any recommndations as far as how o bes associate each of these freqs to
a particular Unit? It appears that both ops use both freqs for ops freqs.
OK, I can live with a dual tag but just wanted to seek some more input to
make sure I am thinking along the right lines here.
Jeff

Jeff,
Caribou Ops is the Base Ops callsign for the 457th AS )C-21s) at Andrews.
