Hi all,
The snowstorm is coming. Be prepared with extra food, batteries,
flashlights and snowplow frequencies.
It'll be interesting to see how the storm affects the trains and
planes. I'll listen to the MetroRail frequencies: 160.260, 160.380,
160.620, 161.385.
I haven't heard much on the VDOT 47.3x frequencies last Thursday.
The Washington D.C. area skywarn net might be up. I'll monitor and
check into the SkyWarn net on 147.300.
Fairfax County Amateur Radio Emergency Service might be active on:
146.790, 146.910, 224.100.
For more SkyWarn frequencies in the D.C., Baltimore and Shenandoah
Valley Area, look here:
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/lwx/skywarn/subnet.html
Other frequencies I plan to monitor and check into:
7.243 - 4th Region / Eastern Area / 3rd Region Traffic Nets
7.521 - South Coast Amateur Radio Service
7.255 - East ""
7.258 - Mid West ""
