Al and others - yeah, it's very possible tonight we could have some significant tropo conditions. A big change in our air mass is coming our way, and on top of that, a storm - minor one for us, but perhaps by Thursday out in the Atlantic, a big one - is also headed for us. Time to check Bill Hepburn's tropo site and see what gives.

As the replay official says after reviewing the play...

Upon further review, it has been determined that Caroline County is the
one using PL 114.8. Alan Henney's site was correct and Radio Reference
database was wrong but has now been corrected. BWI Fire uses PL 123.0.
At least we've got the locals identified. That still leaves us with one
unknown user - whoever it is that uses PL 156.7. I'm just going to have
to listen for that one to try to get an identity. Considering the
amazing VHF listening conditions of the past couple of nights, it could
be anywhere from Virginia to Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
On another note, those trying to listen to my web site's audio/video
stream last night might have been put off by my speed scanning while
trying to hear some of those more distant stations to confirm identities
or to hear new ones. I did manage to confirm about 40 frequencies that I
had programmed and hadn't heard for a time. I thoroughly enjoy going
after new signals - more so than listening to the locals when conditions
are so good. I'll be doing the same tonight unless conditions change but
will get back to normal scanning after that. Sorry if it caused any
consternation or frayed nerves.
