FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

U.S. ARMED FORCES REHEARSE AERIAL REVIEW

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Armed Forces will rehearse its Aerial Review Wednesday, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. over the Ellipse near the White House in preparation for the Presidential Inaugural opening ceremony entitled "A Celebration of Freedom."

A variety of aircraft will be practicing their fly-over, including four Air Force F-16 Falcons, an Air Force B-2 Bomber, two Navy F/A 18 Hornets, three Marine Corps AV-8B Harriers and four Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles performing a missing man formation.

"It is important that the pilots of these aircraft get a chance to see the route and execute their fly-over prior to the actual ceremony," said Air Force Lt. Col. Randy Thompson, Joint Task Force - Armed Forces Inaugural Committee, Special Events Chief. "The local community should be aware this will take place so as not to be alarmed by the low flying aircraft and the noise."

For more information on the aerial review, call the JTF-AFIC Public Affairs Office at 202-358-5351.

73,

Ed
