[Scan-DC] Inaguration and .p96 files

  Just compare the agencies listed in the 2001 Inauguration newsletter (which is available on the CHM website) to the agencies listed on the various files. It's a start, to be sure, but complete....nah. I think it's safe to say that one radio won't be enough to cover it all, regardless of whether you're using a PRO96 or one of the Unidens.

  Interestingly, no one has taken up the job of changing the Combat Air Patrol freq files I put out into Win96. It certainly can be done; and at least some of the frequencies will work with the PRO96 without doing the unlocking. Reception in the milair UHF band is, of course, iffy at best, but the VHF milair band (138-144 Mhz) seems to work fine, from the few reports I've seen on the subject.

  If anyone is interested in tackling that project, the files can be found in numerous places;
- The Washington DC forum at Radio Reference
- The Milcomairchat group at Yahoo (in the files area)
- The MD_Scan group at Yahoo (in the files area)
- The SouthernMdScannerForum at Yahoo (in the files area)

  The clock is ticking....

Subject: [Scan-DC] Inaguration

Does anyone have a Pro-96 file made up just for the Inaguration Day events or does the DC file in CHM links have all we need?

THANKS!
Michael
