My best guess would be since 341.750 is a nationwide Have Quick TOD freq
used by AWACS aircraft, and they frequently operate in and around the
Mid Atlantic now, it was done to reduce interference. You would have the
ground based TOD for testing, maintenance and mission prep so they have
a need on the ground. They just don't need to butt heads with the
operational world.

Larry,
Any thoughts on why Langley switched?. Last night I searched the entire
IFR for any references to 341.75. Came up empty handed. I know used to
be if I did that for that freq several MIL bases around would pop up.
Langley was one of them that had this freq listed as to HQ TIMING freq.
Now it doesn't nor does anybody else. Struck me as odd hat everybody
dropped it from the IFR. LFI now lists another freq as HQ timing.
