Well let see if you are in the DC area it is most likely APCO-25 and the TT 
3 and 4 will not do it. the TT 4 is really an upgrade to the 3 and is a bit 
smaller and cheaper. I had been asking about a new scanner myself on a 
different newsgroup and in Massachusetts it's not really worth me going to 
the APCO-25 scanner as of yet cause only 4 towns use it. But in your area 
you have government, and county dispatch.
