Hi Karl,
I am in Amherst County (N of Lynchburg), and had not heard USFS on
either 171 MHz repeater freq in some time, thinking they might have
changed frequencies when the new repeaters were installed.

CTCSS instead of DTMF??? Hum, I will start hunting tones when I hear
them. Thanks. :o)

>>Monongahela Nat Forest's new VHF HI system
I did not realize they had moved from 38 MHz. I have their (old) 38
MHz channels programmed into my 29-42 MHz radio in my truck. I have to
go up I-79 West of you near the PA State Line next week on business,
and will do some snooping & scanning on the L--O--N--G drive up.

I will be monitoring 29.600/52.525 also.

Mark

Mark, (and all),

GW is alive and well on the north end of the valley on the same rptr
out. They apparently switched from the old method of DTMF rptr access
to separate PL access for each different rptr.

Also to the group I had a question about Monongahela Nat Forest's new
VHF HI system. Anyone know any info on that?

Thanks, Karl
