[Scan-DC] Dept of Homeland Security activity

   I decided to put my 895 and a program called Radiomax to work checking
the various DHS freqs that were listed in MT's Fed Files column. I came up
with a surprising number of hits; some of these were obviously in the DC
area (162.25 was in the clear) judging by the signals strength, while
others were local - perhaps BWI, the Port of Baltimore Dundalk and
Baltimore city are all likely possibilities. Most everything else was
digital. These logs were taken 9/22 from about 10 am to about 3:30 local:

===============
   The number just before the word 'Department' is the number of hits
Radiomax counted. As you can see, 162.25 was very busy today.
   In addition, I put the DoD freqs in a seperate bank as per Larry's
recent email and came up empty. As I am restricted to indoor antennas,
this shouldn't be considered to be anywhere near authoritative; it's
entirely possible it's a bit too weak for me to hear. I'm about 35 miles
NNW of DC.
