Ok since the last message was such a hit ;-) let's try this again. It
would appear that these frequencies I posted yesterday are repeater
inputs (see below). So if you heard activity, you havce a real good
setup and be proud of what you heard. But according to a little birdee
we need to check the repeater outputs which are 10 MHz below the inputs.
So folks to narrow this down, we will be searching the 12.5 kHz splits
between 380-390 MHz.

Repeater inputs:
396.1825 396.9875 397.0625 398.1125 398.1375 398.1625 398.1875
398.2125 398.2625 398.3125 398.3375 MHz

Possible repeater outputs
386.1825 386.9875 387.0625 388.1125 388.1375 388.1625 388.1875
388.2125 388.2625 388.3125 388.3375

So again I ask all you folsk in the DC area the search the 380-390
spectrum especially on the r/out above and please let me know what you
hear. And to all of you who responded so far, thank you very much for
your help. I am anxious to see our bethern track down the first of these
new DoD LMR systems.

Hey Alan. As for what type of system I would definitely say not ProVoice
or Open Sky. The government is requiring all new systems purchased be
APCO-25 compliant and narrowband. That leaves the non-APCO Open Sky and
ProVoice systems out.

Through a private source I can tell you that two new systems are
standing up in the DC area. The repeater outputs WILL be 12.5 kHz
channels and they will be in the 380-390 MHz range with the inputs 10
MHz higher. I know from my source that they are testing the two systems
right now so they should be up and running. Let me know what you hear up
there. ;-)

Larry!

All I can say is that I've been hearing a data carrier on 385.7125. It
sounds weak and distorted and not what I'm accustom to for trunked
systems. This is supposed to be the MA/Com system, isn't it? EDACS or
OpenSky?

Alan
