an official list i posted to the atlantic at qth.net mailing list..
please do not pubilsh without permission,
thanks.
this info was taken from an officially distributed sheet at each FAA
facility around Y2K.. I'm assuming they're using the same stuff unless
someone says otherwise..
I seriously doubt they ever use these frequencies. i think i read
somewhere that they were to do radio net checks but i lost the info on
that if someone wants to shed some light..
they would probably be more likely to use the sat phoen they had but
you always need good ol HF as backup ;)

The Official RCOM HF/SSB Frequency Chart for the FAA
My Notes:
They use Motorola Micom-1's (for base facilities). Motorola's Selcal
(selective calling) is used for facility to facility calling. Each facility
is also equiped with sat. phones. These will be used during the Y2K in case
of emergency.
Official Notes:
1. Utilize PRIMARY frequencies to conduct normal network operations such as
weekly net checks.
2. After establishing an ALE link, change to an ALTERNATE channel within
your respective network to pass traffic.
3. During an emergency, if necessary, stations may communicate on any
alternate channel/frequency of any RCOM network.
4. For technical reasons the RCOM whip antenna coupler is tuned to the first
ten channels.
5. The MAIN scan group is programmed for channels that minimize operator
actions when the whip antenna is used.
6. ALASKA ONLY air-to-ground frequencies are not authorized for use within
the Continental U.S.
Happy listening..
